Expectant Hope

If you are facing any negative situation in life, you as a believer have something so powerful,  so mighty and so precious that you can face anything knowing you will succeed.

What is this powerful thing? It’s Hope. Sometimes the word hope is thrown around so much that it has lost its relevance and power in Christians lives. But hope is the great expectancy of our faith. Hope is what causes our hearts to rise. It breathes expectation of change in our lives. It lifts our eyes to search excitedly into the future!

Christmas is coming soon and don’t you remember waking up Christmas day as a kid; waiting for your parents to tell you it was OK to go into the family room and see what could possibly be under the tree???? You didn’t know what was there but you knew it was good! You knew it was something fun and special.

That is hope in our lives towards God!

We have to have a constant expectation of good in our lives know matter what is going on.  We have to beileve and expect that good is just around the corner.

This amazing hope is fuel for our faith and it comes through God’s word.  When you take a scripture that applies to your situation, and mediate on it and let it grow, it will cause hopeful expectation to fill you up to overflowing!

If you’ve got hope then you’ve got power!

I’m praying that hope is boiling over in your life and you are a victorious child of the King.

What’s a favorite scripture of yours that brings you hope? I would love for you to share it with me in the comment section below. If you can’t think of one here is one of mine.

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  1. Amen sister. Lately I have been thinking about the scripture in John where Jesus basically said, I’m not saying you won’t have trouble in this world, I’m just saying you’ll overcome it! That gives me great hope!
